Library News

The Mouse Is Coming-  We are so excited about a reading adventure that the whole school will begin in January!  Each family will receive one copy of The Mouse and the Motorcycle, along with a reading plan and discussion questions.  The hope is that families will come together during one of the coldest and hopefully less busy times of the year to enjoy a super book together, and be united with some activities and incentives at school at well.  Please make plans to have your family participate in "One School, One BOOK”!

Buddies and Books-  We had such a fun time in December as classes were paired up, and students enjoyed reading, snacking, coloring, and choosing a free book with a buddy!  Thank you to everyone who contributed cookies for this great tradition, and to our Grandparents whose Book Fair shopping made the free books possible!

Art Update

In art this week is all about reviewing art expectations and learning about the famous Bob Ross! Bob Ross (1942-1995) was an American painter and television host famous for The Joy of Painting., a PBS show where he taught landscape oil painting using his quick "wet-on-wet" technique, creating "happy little trees" and mountains with a calm demeanor, promoting art as accessible to everyone, and inspiring millions with his soothing voice and positive messages.

Kinders will get to Bob Ross soon but are working so hard on their ABC drawing books!
