Thanksgiving Celebration in Kindergarten- Our Kindergartners have a longtime tradition of celebrating Thanksgiving with their classroom families and they will do this on Monday, November 17th. Mrs. Holthaus' class will celebrate at 11:00 and Mrs. Bruns and Miss Tenpas' classes will celebrate at 11:15. Families are welcome to join!
Major Saver- Exciting news! The Shawnee Heights Public Schools Foundation's Major Saver Card fundraiser is here! The fundraiser begins November 13, 2025, and continues through December 2, 2025. By participating, you'll play a vital role in funding valuable programs and resources for our students. The fundraiser benefits the Shawnee Heights Public Schools Foundation and our school. Illustrator visit- The 3rd-6th grades enjoyed hearing about the career of Elizabeth Baddeley this week! Following several weeks of reading books that she has illustrated, it was interesting to hear about her research and creative processes. We were surprised to find out how many people are involved in the publishing process of a book, and how many drawings she does before the final product!

Our 4th, 5th, and 6th graders are amongst our grade levels to collect the most food and it's been amazing to see our BES Family come together to support families needing food assistance. The grade level with the most food collected by Friday, November 22nd will earn an en extra recess filled with fun!
