Smencils- Beginning 12/1 we will be selling Smencils, Smens and Backpack Buddies during arrival time. ALL money raised goes directly to supporting BES families with holiday needs.
Lunchtime Guests- Students love having family join them for lunch! For the safety of all students, food should only be given to your specific student. We have multiple students with food allergies and ensuring the safety of all students is our top priority. Students also should have no more than 2 friends join to ensure that space doesn't become too crowded.
Major Saver- Exciting news! The Shawnee Heights Public Schools Foundation's Major Saver Card fundraiser is here! The fundraiser begins November 13, 2025, and continues through December 2, 2025. By participating, you'll play a vital role in funding valuable programs and resources for our students. The fundraiser benefits the Shawnee Heights Public Schools Foundation and our school. Congrats Wyatt Scharrer- A BIG Buffalo shout-out to Wyatt Scharrer, who just completed ALL of the William Allen White books this year! We have many readers working to complete the list of these super ten books for their grade level, and we are proud of all of these readers. Wyatt made a goal to read all of the books from both the 3rd-5th grade list AND the 6th-8th grade list! That is definitely showing COMMITMENT! His favorites are Finally Seen, and Lasagna Means I Love You.
Buffalo Families Support Each Other- It has been inspirational to see the way BES Families have stepped up to assist families struggling with food insecurity.
