Major Saver- Exciting news! The Shawnee Heights Public Schools Foundation's Major Saver Card fundraiser is here! The fundraiser begins November 13, 2025, and continues through December 8, 2025.  By participating, you'll play a vital role in funding valuable programs and resources for our students. Art class has officially jumped into winter projects—and the Christmas spirit is in full swing!
• Kindergarten is creating beautiful mosaic backgrounds with adorable penguins.
• 1st Grade is making cozy mitten artwork holding a hot chocolate mug!
• 2nd Grade has some students finishing their stocking cap ornaments while most are moving on to cheerful Santas.
• 3rd Grade is diving into their clay projects, and they’re looking absolutely amazing!
• 4th–6th Grade students are learning about five different artists and creating a project inspired by the style of their choice. It’s a free-choice, work-at-your-own-pace project—and the kids are loving it!

Amazing Home Reading!

Wow! We had so much super reading happening this past month using the Beanstack app!  Congrats to the students pictured who completed the monthly challenge!  The Fourth Graders read an amazing 12,718 minutes altogether, and will enjoy donuts for being the grade level with the most minutes logged. If you’d like to help motivate your child with their home reading through the Beanstack app, please email Mrs. Myers at myerse@usd450.net for information about getting them started!
