BES Art Corner
This week has been packed with all sorts of wonderful art!
6th graders are working so hard creating their Monet inspired Impressionist artwork. Using small brushstrokes and layering, the students are working so hard creating their own version of an outdoor scene, like Monet.
5th graders have finished their radial symmetry stamp pressing. They loved creating their own stamp using cardboard and foam. They designed their own paper and loved pressing their stamp to see their awesome design in action! They are starting Monet next week!
4th graders finished their Monet inspired Water Lily Pond artwork with lots of details and a cardboard bridge! They are starting to create Monet's Poplars trees!
3rd graders finished their self-portraits and are working super hard creating their Monet's water lilies!
2nd graders are working so hard creating their water and boat, Monet inspired artwork.
1st graders created chickens this week and also started paper mâché farm animals! These will be on display for all to see during their music program at the HS.

Kansas Assessment Program
State assessments for our 3rd-6th grade students continue next week. These assessments are an important opportunity for students to demonstrate their learning and for our school to measure progress toward academic goals. The results help us identify strengths and areas for growth, ensuring we continue providing high-quality instruction tailored to student needs. Teachers will send home more information about specific days/times for testing sessions.
Parents can support their children's success through the following actions:
Ensure your child gets a good night of sleep
Have your child eat a healthy breakfast
Make sure your child arrives at school on time
Encourage your child to do their best
