Greetings SHES Families,

Excitement is in the air! There is something "magical" about starting a new school year. I can't wait to see our Thunderbolt families at Sneak Peek on Monday, August 11th! We have divided the times into two sections to hopefully alleviate some of the traffic congestion. If you have an intermediate student, please know that our intermediate teachers might not be in their classrooms until 6:00pm.

Over the past couple of years, we haven't had a big turnout for Open House/Parent Information Night. So, we have eliminated that evening for our families and staff. We hope that you and your student can attend Sneak Peek and teachers will hand out any classroom information then or let you know when that information will be sent out to you.

We have a few new faces at SHES, but the majority of our amazing staff are returning! Our art room has moved from the basement to room 155, so be sure to check out the new space during Sneak Peek!

We need your help! Our amazing PTO is a very small and dedicated group who are passionate about providing opportunities and resources for our students and staff. However, they can't do it all on their own. We need more parents involved in PTO to help coordinate and volunteer for our PTO events. We invite you to our first PTO meeting on Monday, August 18th @ 6:00pm in the SHES library. Our PTO meetings from September to April are on the 2nd Monday of every month. If you are interested in being a part of PTO or want information on volunteering, please stop by the PTO table at Sneak Peek.
