Superintendent's Message

It’s hard to believe Homecoming week is already here. I want to thank you for the energy and spirit you bring into our schools every day. Because of you, traditions like Homecoming feel special and meaningful for our students and families. Tonight’s football game kicks off at 7:00 p.m., with food trucks starting at 5:00 and the crowning of royalty at 6:30. I hope you’ll join us as we celebrate and cheer on our students.

This week’s KESA check-in with KSDE was also very encouraging. KESA is the state’s K-12 accreditation process. They recognized the progress we’re making and the steps we’ve taken to strengthen professional learning and instructional practices. That feedback is a direct reflection of your hard work in classrooms and buildings across the district. Thank you for the difference you make each day!

2025 Shawnee Heights Bond

We are creating a series of short videos to show the highlights of the proposed updates included in the 2025 Shawnee Heights Bond at each of our schools.

The first video is here, Shawnee Heights Middle School. Take a look at the highlights, and keep an eye out for videos from our other schools soon!

Custodian & Maintenance Appreciation Day

On October 2, we celebrated Custodian and Maintenance Appreciation Day! Our custodial and maintenance teams are crucial in maintaining the safety, cleanliness, and operational efficiency of our schools. Below are pictures of just a few of the many hardworking members of our team. Thank you to all our custodial and maintenance teams who keep Shawnee Heights shining!
