BES Art Corner

It’s been a short but busy week in art class! Our 4th and 5th graders have been working hard on special projects for their upcoming music program. Fourth graders are excited to begin creating their Elvis Presley “bottle buddies,” while fifth graders are designing their own guitars — both projects sparking a lot of creativity and enthusiasm!

Our 6th graders are developing important art skills by exploring value, vanishing points, and one-point perspective as they create detailed cemetery drawings. In addition, four 6th grade students were selected to paint the glass by the art classroom. They worked diligently to design and bring their creative visions to life. Thank you for your hard work, Jazmin, Sara, Oliver and Rozzy!

Meanwhile, our 2nd and 3rd graders have started preparing artwork for their December music program. They will also be featured in an art show at the high school during the program. Although it feels a little early to be working on holiday-themed art, we’re excited to see their festive creations come to life!

Our 1st graders recently completed their jack-o-lantern projects and have now begun drawing owls in a tree hollow.

Kindergarten students finished up their Frida Kahlo-inspired handprint art, enhanced with colorful flower paint stamps.

I am proud of all our students for their hard work and creativity!
